Batmobile (BMW E9) Sculpture
Streamlined series
The iconic 1970s all conquering BMW E9 racecar became known as the ‘Batmobile’ for it’s then outrageously large bonnet fins and rear wing, portrayed as a stylised elongated form with longitudinal slices. The core body form is created by carefully designed slices of polished black acrylic, with the wheels described by solid disks of aluminium, polished and nickel plated on one side and anodised on the other, to create a ‘jykll and hyde’ effect, thus creating 2 sculptures in one so you can have one look on one side, and another look on the other..
Created with 3d printed detail elements, nickel plated aluminium ‘wheels’, polished acrylic on a brushed aluminium plinth. Comes with artist Signed CoA, with display cases available.
Edition of 9.
Dimensions 38 x 16 x 9 cm
